The child-friendly park "De Schelphoek" is located 300 meters from the Veerse Meer (lake), a beautiful recreational area for walking, cycling, sailing, sunbathing and swimming. Restaurant "De Meerkoet" is located at the recreation area, which also has a boat ramp. The Veerse Meer also has a beach that is child-friendly because it has a safely demarcated swimming area.

A supermarket can be found at the marina of Wolphaartsdijk, a 5 minutes walking distance, which is open 7 days a week. There are also several restaurants here. In Wolphaartsdijk you can rent bicycles, so that you can explore the area by bicycle.
